KrankyBear BackTrack was born from decades of real-world experience creating and using software, both for software development companies and as a consumer, more recently working closely with healthcare professionals in healthcare practices. After years of providers working with often clunky, expensive practice management systems that locked data behind paywalls and subscription barriers, we decided to create something different.

BackTrack was founded in Tennessee in 2025, and is primarily developed by Allan Marillier with other software engineers, with advisors who are current and former healthcare professionals, and privacy advocates. We combine deep technical expertise with real-world healthcare experience to create software that actually works the way you work.
